How to read AlphaSignal snapshots

2026-08-15

AlphaSignal is a snapshot-first desk. Opening Home does not re-score the whole market. What you see is the last computed ranking, plus receipts on a ticker page.

This note is an explainer, not investment advice and not a trade signal.

Start with the date, not the stars

Every list and score has an as-of. That date is an America/New_York session stamp, not “right now on your phone.”

  • Session / close — last regular cash session bar we have cached.
  • Scan — when the 100-point model last ran (weekday premarket, Eastern time).
  • Pushed quote — optional pre / regular / after-hours print from the quote feeder. It is a snapshot, not a live bid/ask. After a quiet stretch it goes stale and the page falls back to the daily close.

If those dates disagree, trust the labels. Do not treat a Strong Buy badge as “this second.”

What the score is

The number (and Buy / Watch-style labels) compares names inside a cached list. It is relative analytics.

It is not a broker recommendation, not a probability of a squeeze, and not a promise of future returns. Data can be delayed or incomplete. Confirm on the exchange, SEC, or the issuer before you act.

A simple path through the site

1. Home — Today · 1Y for a balanced snapshot, or another tab if you are screening a theme. 2. Open a ticker — score breakdown, chart, filings, and (when present) pressure or disclosure receipts. 3. Market briefing — session context and headlines we curated. We do not republish full articles. 4. User guide — how beginners can use the lists without treating them as orders.

What this page is not

It is not a tips column and not a replacement for the briefing. When the market is closed, yesterday’s snapshot is still yesterday’s snapshot.

Scores, lists, and this note are a snapshot — not a forecast. More on what the site is (and is not) is on About.

Not investment advice. Scores and lists are relative snapshots.
